The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing construction projects on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients, the Site Manager ensures efficient project delivery while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and promoting a positive safety and quality culture across sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all on-site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
- Lead subcontractors, direct labour, and site teams to maintain high standards
- Enforce health and safety procedures and company policies at all times
- Drive project progress, resolve on-site challenges, and maintain programme adherence
- Chair daily briefings, site meetings, inspections, and quality checks
- Coordinate with project managers, design teams, and external consultants
- Oversee materials management, deliveries, and site logistics
- Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and progress updates
Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years’ construction experience, including at least 4 years as a Site Manager
- Proven track record delivering residential or mixed-use developments
- Experience working with a developer or main contractor
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive performance and maintain standards
- Excellent knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and health and safety
- Highly organised with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Construction-related qualification preferred (Construction Management, Engineering, or relevant trade background)
